Activity in the park; Trekking (free) Out and back along the Great Walk, through the rainforest with beach stops Base how far you go on the speed of the group, turn around about 1 hour of walking in, unless the group wants less. Not including beach stops Guide to discuss the meaning of the silver fern, different bird calls, the great walks of New Zealand, history of Abel Tasman etc. You’ll begin your journey crossing Mārahau estuary using the causeway. On the far side of the estuary, pass through open country to Tinline Bay. The track rounds Guilbert Point to Apple Tree Bay, then passes through beech forest with large kānuka trees. Average fitness, will undulate between 0-80m Optional: Kayaking (additional cost) Kahu Kayaks at our own pace or with a good stopping at golden beaches and crystal clear water. This place is not wheelchair accessible.

Embark on an adventure to one of New Zealands most pristine national parks, Abel Tasman. With crystal clearwaters, golden beaches, and lush rainforest, whats not to love. Take a scenic drive up the coast fueling up with famous doughnuts and a classic kiwi flat white along the way. Once you get to Abel Tasman choose your own adventure trek along the Great Walk (optional kayak, additional cost) around Tasman Bay either way, you wont be disappointed. Exploring the rugged coastline either by foot or by boat will make you feel like you have entered the tropics, spotting the rich green ferns, native birds and (hopefully) the sunbathing seals that make the Abel Tasman so magical. Finish the day in the remote village of Marahau, the perfect place to soak in the last few moments in the park.
