Famous Old Mellifont Abbey – the first monastery in Ireland, dating from 1142, which has several extraordinary architectural features. It is very famous for its two-starey octagonal lavabo. Listen with attention to your guide, you will find out an amazing history of the “ Conspiracy of Mellifont”.
