Mijas and Marbella Private Tour
– One of the most beautiful white village of the province of Málaga – Mijas, ancient Tamisa of the Romans and Mixa of the Muslims – is situated at the altitude of 425 m and therefore it has spectacular views from any point of the village. We will start the visit with the Hermitage of Virgen de la Peña, where we will find the image of the patron saint of the town. We will continue through the network of the narrow and winding streets to pass through the Municipal Museum, and old Town Hall, which houses very interesting collection of popular art with utensils used for the production of olive oil, wine, raisins, etc…
The bullring of Mijas is the only rectangular bullring in Spain. We can observe how it adapted to the geomorphology of the terrain. Nearby we find the Church of the Immaculate and its panoramic viewpoint, from where on clear days you can contemplate ancient Columns of Hercules: Gibraltar and Djebel Músá on the African continent.
– Arriving at Marbella we will start our visit at the point of the Old Town called Puente Málaga, continuing through the winding streets to the Church of the Incarnation and to the remains of Arab Walls.
In the Square of Oranges, famous Plaza de los Naranjos, we will stop in front of the Hermitage of Santiago (15th century), Casa del Corregidor (15th century) and the Town Hall. We will finish our visit to old Marbella in the magnificent gardens of Alameda and Avenida del Mar with its fabulous statues.
