According to the legend, this staircase was built in a single night in 1420 by the soldiers of the king of Aragon so that they could invade the city and climb into the citadel. When descending the 187 steps of the staircase, you will have an impressive view overlooking the sea at more than 60 meters high. Once down, you will take the path along the cliff to a hidden natural cave. Then, at your own pace, you will climb up the steps.

The visit will continue with another of the historical monuments to see in the city: the church of Santa Maria Maggiore. It is not only the main church of Bonifacio but also the oldest building in the city. You will admire a beautiful loggia.
